My mountain bike came with Panaracer tubless tires and I refuse to go back to a tubed tires. This has a long lasting treads and handles well in all terains. Now that I have tubeless on my bike I've never had a flat. The price for these tires fits my budget as well.

It is what it is, does the job, easy to use. These were my first clip in cleats, simple to use. It took me about 10 minutes to get used to my feet being clipped in. Noticable power increase. Highly recommended.

Michelin Country Rock Tire (Black, 26x1.75) Review

Michelin Country Rock Tire (Black, 26x1.75)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It's been a few months since I threw these on both my bike and my wife's. So far we've had no flats, and that includes a lot of curb-hopping, and riding on everything from gravel to urban streets to lawns (shhh, don't tell).
If the majority of your riding is on the asphalt and concrete these tires are a terrific way to improve your rolling resistance. They're a breeze on packed dirt, too. I also find them aesthetically pleasing; the tread looks nicer than some of the more expensive tires, and the logo treatment on the side walls is tasteful and timeless.
Just one word of warning; I read a review somewhere before purchasing these that they out rode some knobbies in gravel. I find this highly unlikely. My first week or so on these I came tearing into some gravel at a little bit of an angle and woah, boy, did that get my heart rate up.
Also, I can only give the tires four stars because, while I haven't had any flats, they offer no flat protection.
Overall this is a great, cheap way for you to speed up a mountain bike, and stave off those urges you get every time you stroll by that road cycle in the bike shop.
Don't think I didn't see you.

Maxxis Minion DHF Mountain Bike Tire Review

Maxxis Minion DHF Mountain Bike Tire
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased the 2.5" 60a version of this tire. I do mostly cross-country riding but I jump at any chance to tear down a rocky downhill as fast as possible! These tires offer AMAZING grip. Previously I owned the Maxxis High Rollers 2.35" also in 60a. These were great tires but the Minion is even better. Its a pound heavier than the HR, but I think it's worth it. The confidence and stability of this tire is well worth the extra weight and cost. It RIPS.

WTB Velociraptor Cross Country Mountain Bike Tire Review

WTB Velociraptor Cross Country Mountain Bike Tire
Average Reviews:

Very good tire, tough sidewalls and very agressive tread. The sidewalls seem lower profile than the tire of the same dimensions that I had previously, which I dont like, but even so it seems to hold up just fine. I got this tire after searching for the most reasonably priced agressive tire I could find, and this one fits the bill.
I would buy this tire again.

Planet Bike Full ATB Front and Rear Bicycle Fender Set (60mm Wide) Review

Planet Bike Full ATB Front and Rear Bicycle Fender Set (60mm Wide)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
These are the most inexpensive fenders Planet Bike makes. And for your money they are completely functional and useful.
I've bought 2 sets. I put one on a Raleigh mountain bike. The second set I put on a black Surly LHT. They match the frame beautifully. In both instances the bikes had 26" tires. (Note: on the LHT I painted the back third of the rear fender white, similar to a European bike, to improve traffic visibility. Painting them is easily accomplished by using polycarbonate spray paint. Any over-spray can be easily removed by rubbing it with a little WD-40. So please be aware that even though these come in black, they can be painted to match any frame color).
The nice thing is they are solid, they function excellently in keeping the grit off the bike. They look good and they are tough.
Both fenders have single stays... so if you're into the "double stay" look of more expensive fenders these may not suit you. They also are only adjustable at the hub end. Each stay is formed as one continuous piece of wire that wraps around the fender through a hinge. This also is less functional than more expensive fenders that allow you to adjust stay length at either end. For me, this has presented NO issues.
I highly recommend these fenders. They appear they'll last for years to come. Put 'em on and forget about 'em. Believe me, I've had other fenders that required constant tinkering. I've NEVER had to readjust these.

When the weather turns ugly, Planet Bike's fenders offer full protection from the rain, sleet, and snow. The black Full ATB front and rear fenders are made of unbreakable Superflex all-weather polycarbonate, a super-sturdy material that looks great and stands the test of time. The quick-adjusting hardware, meanwhile is pre-installed for hassle-free mounting. Offering basic weather coverage (Planet Bike also sells fenders with mudflaps), the Full ATB fenders measure 60 mm wide and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
About Planet Bike In November of 1996, Planet Bike was founded in Madison, Wisconsin. In many ways, Planet Bike began as a social experiment that dedicated itself to doing business in a different way. Instead of being just another company that develops and sells products with profit as its end goal, Planet Bike wanted to help bring about positive change for people, their communities, and the environment.
Despite being a simple machine, the people at Planet Bike have always believed that the bicycle has great potential to help improve the world and the lives of the people in it. From the start, they have embraced an alternative corporate purpose which seeks to help get more people on bicycles by making communities friendlier places for the self-propelled. By donating 25% of company profits to causes that promote and facilitate bicycle usage, Planet Bike hopes to make an impact.
Social experiments aside, Planet Bike was born from the heart of a cyclist with a goal of making innovative, high quality, and practical bicycle accessories. Simply put, they strive to design and develop the best bicycle products in the world. In the company's short ten year history, they have made important product innovations within the bicycle industry. Advancements include the 4-line computer which is now a standard in the industry and the world's first self-contained HID light. Not bad for a company that ten years ago started as a one man operation. Today, while still a small company, Planet Bike continues to evolve and improve their product line with the goal of always striving to build accessories that make it easier for people to ride their bikes. Since 1996, Planet Bike's financial support of the grassroots bicycle movement has totaled $500,000. By 2010, they have made a goal to donate $1 million to organizations that are dedicated to making America a friendlier place for cyclists.

Schwinn Pillow Top Cruiser Bicycle Seat Review

Schwinn Pillow Top Cruiser Bicycle Seat
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My wife and I both have the same bikes, with very similar setups. We both needed replacement saddles around the same time, so I did my homework and purchased two of these Schwinn Pillow Top saddles. What a difference! No more sore rear end! Don't be fooled by the "pillow top" desciption - it's just marketing. It's not "soft" like a pillow. The seat is firm, but comfortable enough for long rides, with a stable frame and well matched springs. The split down the middle of the seat is functionally effective without making the seat feel odd. It doesn't feel like there is a major section of the seat cut out. Also, it's not really a big, wide, oversized seat like a lot of the "cruiser" marketed seats. In other words, it doesn't look out of place or dorky on our hybrid street/trail bikes. I would definitely recommend buying this replacement model from Schwinn.

Schwinn Miramar Men's Comfort Bike (26-Inch Wheels) Review

Schwinn Miramar Men's Comfort Bike (26-Inch Wheels)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered this because I'd seen another Amazon review saying the assembly was easy, and I was happy to find this is true for me too. Since there are no directions, I thought I'd do my part by giving other buyers a couple of tips. You will need a couple of hex wrenches -- I already owned one of those little Craftsman sets with all the sizes attached to the plastic grip handle. You will need the inch measurement ones, which is the set with the orange handle. This is the only tool required. You will need a pair of household scissors, too, and an air pump for the tires.
The bike will arrive with the handlebars detached and folded over by the cables and strapped to the bike frame with a plastic fastener strip. The front wheel and the seat post (with the seat already on) are also on the side of the frame. Cut the fastener strips off. To put the front wheel on, find the axle in the little cardboard box, put it through the wheel after uncrewing the axle cap so you can put it through the wheel. Now just put the axle through the front fork and flip the end lever on the axle to hold the front wheel on.
Put the seat post in, and then turn the lever on the band which adjusts the seat until you have the height and direction of the seat where you want it, and lock down the lever.
To put the handlebars on, first take the protective black cap off the end of the handlebar post. You do need to hold the handlebars just the right way because the cables are already attached, which is good in the long term. It took me about three minutes of trying several positions until I figured out how to slip the handlebar post in, but eventually the light bulb came on over my head and it was simple. Once they were in, it was a snap to put the handlebars where I wanted them. I took the protective little black cap off the adjustment nut at the top of the stem, and used the Craftsman allen wrench. Turning the nut makes the bottom of the handlebar stem 9down in the bike frame) expand and this holds the handlebars in position. After adjustment, put the protector cap back over the nut to keep the rain and dirt off the nut.
Now pump up both tires, and you are almost done. Now you just have to fasten the front brake cable. Use a smaller allen wrench from the Craftsman set to slightly loosen the nut which holds the cable, and thread the cable through the little holder bar on the left, and then put the cable back where it originally was, and tighten it. You can look at the back brakes to see how it goes.
The pedals are in the cardboard box with the axle for the front wheel, and they are labeled L and R so just match them to the L and R stickers on the crank arms, and screw in the pedals. You are done!
The whole thing did take me an hour, but that's because I had to figure it out. Now that you have the steps, you can do it all in half and hour, easy. Happy riding!

Kent Trail Machine Men's Dual Suspension Mountain Bike Review

Kent Trail Machine Men's Dual Suspension Mountain Bike
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this bike to see if I could get back in to the good old sport of mountain biking. This bike was a good encouragement...but I had a few problems with it even after getting it tuned twice.
1) The brakes were never tight enough.
2) The chains were slipping off and hitting the wheels.
3) The wheels were out of line.
But all in all, for the price...I can't really complain...but I'll probably get a new bike as soon as this one falls apart even more.

The Trail Machine is equipped with a full-suspension aluminum slingshot frame, with individual front and rear suspension systems that absorb shock and create a smooth ride regardless of the terrain. About Kent Bicycles A family owned company, Kent Bicycles dates back to the early 1900s, when the current president's grandfather immigrated to the U.S. and got a job working for the owner of a bike shop in New York. In 1909, he opened his own bike shop on the Lower East Side. This small bike shop led to a larger store in New Jersey, where his son developed his own passion for the business. In 1947, the son was inspired to start his own company, Philkam Cycle, supplying bikes and parts to stores all over the eastern United States. In 1958, the company changed its name to Kent International and has been supplying Kent products to fun-loving parents and their children ever since.
Amazon.com Bicycle Buying Guide Finding the Right Bike To really enjoy cycling, it's important to find a bicycle that works for you. Here are some things to keep in mind when you're in the market for a new bike:
The Right Ride In general, bikes are broken down into three major categories:
Road and Racing Bikes: As a general rule, road and racing bikes are built for speed and longer distances on paved surfaces. Thinner tires, lightweight 29-inch (700c) wheels, and drop bars that allow for a more aerodynamic position are the norm. Most road bikes, regardless of price, offer many gears for tackling both hilly and flat terrain.
Mountain Bikes: With their larger tires, hill-friendly gearing, and upright position, mountain bikes are very popular for all types of riding, both on pavement and off. Mountain bikes that are designed specifically for rugged trail use typically feature a suspension fork. Some may have rear suspension, as well. A quick change of the tires on any mountain bike--even one that you use regularly on trails--adds to its versatility and makes it a worthy street machine.
Comfort/Cruiser Bikes: For tooling around on bike paths or light trails or for cruising a quiet beach-side lane, comfort/cruiser bikes are the ticket. With a super-relaxed riding position, padded seats, and limited or no gearing, these bikes are made for enjoying the scenery and having fun with the family.

The Right Price A bike's price boils down to three essentials: frame materials, bike weight, and component quality and durability.
Entry level: You'll find a wide range of comfort and cruiser bikes in this category, as well as some lower-end mountain bikes and road bikes. Most will have steel frames and components that are designed to last for several years with frequent use.
Mid-range: Bikes in this range may feature a lighter aluminum frame with mid-range components that keep performing after miles of use. If you're looking for a quality bike that is relatively lightweight and will stand up to abuse, this is the sweet spot. Most serious commuter and touring bikes fall into this category, as do mid-range mountain bikes with a decent front suspension.
High end: Racers and serious enthusiasts who expect lightweight, high-performance components will want to stick to this category. For road bikes, exotic frame materials (carbon fiber, titanium) and ultra-lightweight components can add thousands to the price tag. Mountain bikes in this class often feature advanced front and rear suspension technology, as well as components designed to handle lots of rugged trail action.

The Right Size Fit is crucial for comfort, control, and proper power and endurance on a bike. Here are some basic bike fit tips:
Stand-over Height: To find out if a bike's overall height fits your body, measure your inseam. Next, determine how much clearance you'll need between your crotch and the top tube of the bike. For a mountain bike, you'll want 3 to 5 inches of clearance. A road bike should offer between 1 and 1 inches of clearance, while a commuter bike should have 2 to 4 inches. Compare the stand-over height for a given bike to your measurements (inseam + clearance) to determine the right bike height.
Top Tube Length: You can measure your torso to get a good estimate of proper top tube length. First, make a fist and extend your arm. Measure from the center of your fist to the end of your collarbone (the part that intersects your shoulder). Next, measure your torso by placing a book against your crotch with the spine facing up. Measure from the spine to the bottom of your throat (the spot between your collarbones). Finally, add the two measurements (arm length + torso length), divide the number in half and subtract 6 inches. This is your approximate top tube length. Compare this number to a bike's posted top tube length. You can allow for about 2 inches longer or shorter, as most bikes can be adjusted via stem length/height and saddle fore/aft position to make fine adjustments to the fit.
Bikes for Women: Proportionally, women tend to have a shorter torso and longer legs than men. Bike makers design women's bikes that offer a shorter top tube. Many comfort/cruiser bikes built for women may also provide more stand-over clearance.

The Right Accessories When you make a bike purchase, don't forget these crucial add-ons:
Helmet (this is a must!)
Seat pack
Lock
Hydration pack, or water bottles and bottle cages
Spare tubes
Portable bike pump
Gloves
