Sunlite Bicycle 9/16 in Low Fat Type Plastic Mountain Pedals with Clips and Straps, 1 pair Review

Sunlite Bicycle 9/16 in Low Fat Type Plastic Mountain Pedals with Clips and Straps, 1 pair

This is the OEM starter pedals that come with road bikes to "get you by" until you purchase cycling shoes. However, there is an alloy core model of this available that does work quite well.
This particular plastic/resin core model has the steel cages screwed on, and since the screws go into plastic, and you're stepping on this, you can just imagine how that goes.
The purpose of this particular product is for selling bikes, test drives and other temporary use.

Azonic Accelerator Bicycle Pedals Review

Azonic Accelerator Bicycle Pedals

I am modernizing a Gary Fisher Joshua XO. The pedals that were on this bike were atrocious for trail riding as they were quite slick when they became muddy or wet. I looked at a lot of high-end pedals like the Crank Bros, but decided to try these as they were a bit cheaper and a little lighter. I am quite impressed! I get excellent traction on these pedals, and they have a great look to them as well. Some of my friends swear by clips, but I just can't do it. There's something about being attached to the bike when I am flying over logs that I don't like. These pedals were exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend these pedals to serious riders without hesitation. They do not disappoint!

It is what it is, does the job, easy to use. These were my first clip in cleats, simple to use. It took me about 10 minutes to get used to my feet being clipped in. Noticable power increase. Highly recommended.

XLC Alloy MTB / Trekking Dual Sided Pedal Clipless 1 Side / Cage Other 9/16" Review

XLC Alloy MTB / Trekking Dual Sided Pedal Clipless 1 Side / Cage Other 9/16

I saw no mention of cleats anywhere in the product description or the reviews and unnecessarily ordered a pair of cleats separately. No doubt I'll use them eventually, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time that they were included with the pedals.
Otherwise I'm very satisfied with the pedals. One side for my daily commute in sneakers to the station; the other for weekend rides. Installation was straightforward and the cleats installed easily on my Shimano shoes, with only minor adjustment required afterward.

Shimano PD-M424 SPD Pedal (9/16-Inch, Black/Silver) Review

Shimano PD-M424 SPD Pedal (9/16-Inch, Black/Silver)

I agree with a couple of other reviews. These are called dual use and it says you don't need to clip in. This is true. I agree that it is not as comfortable to ride when you aren't clipped in (I actually use a softer shoe when I don't clip in and I'm just running a quick errand). These are heavy but I don't notice that on my mountain bike.
I like being able to clip in on both sides so I can just step on my pedals and go and if you are like me then this is probably for you. If you don't mind making sure the pedal is on the proper side then you might be happier with a different pedal.
I find it MUCH easier to unclip by turning my heel in and have to adjust the pedals nearly as loose as possible.

Delta Bicycle Strapless Toe Clips Review

I ride my bike to work. It's an eight mile ride so I don't change clothes, I just bike in with whatever I'm wearing to the office. I wear dress shoes and these clips really allow me climb hills without scuffing or wearing out my nice shoes. I find that I'm also able step out of these at a red light with ease.
They only took a few minutes to attach to my pedals. I've been using them for about eight weeks with no trouble.
When I'm really climbing, I can feel the flex of the plastic. This doesn't present a problem for me, but I suspect a serious mountain biker would probably want something more rigid. But for riding to work; these are a great fit.

I'm new to the sport of Mtn Biking and bought these for my Specialized Hard Rock. They are awesome! Easy clip in and you can get out fast (tention is adjustable). They were easy to install and were very compatible with my Specialized shoes. I even bought the plastic clip on pedal covers (to function as normal pedals) so I could do some street riding with my kids.
