(More customer reviews)the only thing not perfect about them is that if you're wearing regular shoes and the pedal or shoes are wet, these are fairly slippery. Otherwise, mine have about 30k miles on them (by me alone) and I am the second owner. The bearings are still well adjusted and smooth. I use them on my touring bike/commuter. Shimano products are far superior to most of what competitors offer and replacement cleats are available everywhere.
I have heard that some shoes have tread that interferes with the aluminum body of these pedals. I have not experienced this, but surely worst case scenario you can cut off the bit of offending tread.
