The first finger on both of these gloves split open after less than a month of riding. The first finger is used to shift Shimano road shift levers. The gloves may work better with mountain bike shift levers.

Tech MTB Jersey Review

Tech MTB Jersey
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This was the 1st of the two Fox bike jerseys I have ordered. Jersey fits well, construction is tough, and is comfortable to wear. This jersey is superior to the Fox HC race jersey which is $10 to $20 cheaper, but you can feel where that money went if you tried both on back to back. In terms of purpose the jersey has excellent airflow and protected my arms from sunburn (main reason why I buy longsleeve). Have not taken any spills yet, but construction seems tough. I paid $39 for the black/white example and was very happy with purchase. I would recommend this jersey if you have a 35in waist and 44 inch chest. Fit is tighter than Fox HC jersey, yet not confining.
Pros
- tough construction
- excellent airflow
- good detail on stitching; can clearly see where materials change in construction from the rugged sections to the airflow sections.
- protects arms from sun
- comfortable (if not comfortable, it would not be worn)
Cons
- $20 pricier than Fox HC race jersey which in purpose does the same thing
- If you want real protection from a jersey you will have to find something with elbow padding
Conclusion - Having worn and used both fox jerseys mentioned in this review; If I had to only pick one jersey and had $40 to spend the Fox Tech MTB is what I would go with.

These are very tight fit - all the other gloves I have for various sports are size Medium and these Mediums are VERY tight.
They have relaxed over time, and are NOT uncomfortable.
They work well and I am fairly pleased with them.
Definitely better than raiding bare handed... :)

Fox Racing Oasis Men's Outdoor Hydration Pack - Black Review

Fox Racing Oasis Men's Outdoor Hydration Pack - Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had this pack for about a year now and it has been really good. I do not have any complaints about it.
Quality: The quality of this pack is very nice, I have not had any seems come undone/loose, zippers all still work flawlessly, and no tears or rips. It actually (if I washed the mud off) looks pretty much new. The bladder is made by Hydrapack, a very good company who actually has my favorite bladder design. It is the easiest to clean and they have super customer support.
Compartments/size/fit: This is not a real big pack, which is perfect for 2-4 hour bike rides, hikes, or whatever else you may want a small hydration pack for. It fits real well on my back and once I am going on the trail, I forget it is there. The waist and chest straps keep it in place on your back. It breathes as well since there are channels in the back padding. There are pockets or compartments everywhere on this thing. It holds everything I need it to plus a bunch of extra room. (I normally carry: The full bladder, a mini pump (Blackburn Mammoth), A spare tube, multi-tool, patch kit, phone/mp3 player, and sometimes some lube for the chain.)
Overall it is a great smaller sized pack with two great companies coming together with a superb product.

FOX Titan Sport Elbow Guard Review

FOX Titan Sport Elbow Guard
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought these because of Fox reputation for excellent products, these elbow pads lived up to that reputation. I have worn these for the past three months and you can hardly tell they are on. The Velcro straps and elastic have held up great. Last month I when down hard on very sharp shale rocks in Central Pennsylvania. My grips were ripped to shreds and I landed directly on my right elbow. The elbow guard saved my elbow and fore arm and let me enjoy the rest of the days ride. The cost is pennies on the dollar vs. A trip to the ER.
I highly recommend these to my friends and fellow riders, Beginner to A Riders.

GORE BIKE WEAR Women's Countdown Summer Lady Gloves Review

GORE BIKE WEAR Women's Countdown Summer Lady Gloves
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
These gloves work well for long distance riding. They keep my hands from becoming raw and painful from the weight of resting on the handlebars. I really like the feature added to help pull the gloves off. There are 2 loops on the top of the fingers to get a good grip on, to help pull them off. The seams are strong and not likely to split over time with use.

Fox Racing Fox Seat Bag Review

Fox Racing Fox Seat Bag
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
A lot of reviews on FOX seat bags on the internet have been negative and misguided. Most reviews complain and blame FOX for what are user error problems. Things don't just fall out unless you tear the bag, overstuff it, leave it opened, or fail to check its secure. If you throw your bike under water, yes things inside the bag will get wet if submerged. Things will bounce around in the bag if you don't pack it properly.
So after purchasing this product I figure a review was needed because overall this is a decent product.
I previously owned the FOX Small Seat Bag which I used for one biking season. The small bag aside from some mud stains is good as new and served its purpose well...I upgraded to this product the FOX Big Seat Bag simply to get more room for supplies and gear. The small version has two compartments, a big main one and a small credit card slot style one. This Big one has one large compartment, the bottom zippers allow you to expand the size of the bag. I use this big seat bag on a Jamis front suspension off road mountain bike.
Pros:
Capacity: Very generous, if packed properly and/or making use of the expandable feature you can pack everything you need. I currently have a soft case first aid kit (about hand sized), Blackberry smartphone, keys, granola bars, Crank Brothers 18 piece repair tool, tire changing tool kit, and this is with the bag NOT in the expanded configuration. If expanded I could add my wallet, a CO2 air cartridge, spare tube, additional snacks, and a few other tools.
The last one I had lasted a year no problem and is still in good shape, only replaced for more space. The fabric and materials are thin in spots but strong. The bag can stretch slightly and is flexible on the sides. Its unlikely you'll puncture the case if you pack your gear properly. While not waterproof this can easily protect whats inside against mud, puddle splashes and some rain (The seat itself offers some protection of the bag anyways). It can take bouncing around, mud, jarring stops, and still stay intact and attached. The velcro is strong and the zippers are sturdy. If installed properly it'll hold pretty tight although if you don't fully pack it it may move around a bit. Style: Looks good. Being a brand name FOX also makes style and fashion clothing so some style is to be expected. It has reflective pieces on it but could use more. It fits well under the seat and even expanded it doesn't extend out far past the seat or too close to the tire.
Cons:
- FOX could have added a small reflective piece to the bag, although the name FOX does reflect slightly.
-FOX could have added a bottom loop to help further secure the velcro strap. While secure if installed properly I think it would have added another layer of stability.
- You my need to loosen the velcro strap to lower the bag to fully open the compartment for loading/unloading.
- If too loose the little zipper pulls may dangle and hit the tire.
Overall this bag does its job, looks good doing it, and will last a few seasons. Ignore many of the negative reviews based on criteria that doesn't matter. For example the material is soft and there isn't much padding. But this makes the pack lighter and less likely to snap or puncture when filled up. Naturally the bag is protected from sharp direct impacts by the seat, seat post, and seat tire should you crash your bike its may take a hit but unlikely a direct hit. Keep in mind FOX is a brand and you may pay a little more for the brand name, but when its on sale its a great deal. Tip: The bottom has a zipper that unzips allowing you to expand the storage capacity by probably about 35%. I've found that you can unzip this to expand it fully while loading it up with gear. When finished loading, tighten the main bag strap and carefully rezip the expander zipper. This compresses everything together making the bag compact and keeps things from bouncing around inside. So basically I can use the expander option to load stuff in, then close it back up to make it tight and secure. Proper packing of gear and supplies will reduce sway and reduce bouncing around inside the bag.

Planet Bike Aries Cycling Gloves Review

Planet Bike Aries Cycling Gloves
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
For spending $15 instead of the seemingly standard $30 for bicycle gloves, I am very happy with these. They are very comfortable, protect well against a cold wind, and the sweat-wiping cloth on the index finger and thumb is a nice touch.
My only complaint I have is about the velcro. Sometimes the lycra backing will get caught in the velcro and get ripped up a bit. I don't think it's going to fall apart or anything, but it seems to be a bit of bad design that will reduce the lifetime of the gloves.
All in all, though, good gloves and a great price. Planet bike rocks!

Canari Cyclewear Men's Mountain Trail Baggy Padded Cycling Short Review

Canari Cyclewear Men's Mountain Trail Baggy Padded Cycling Short
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
These shorts were my first pair of padded cycling shorts. I bought them because they were cheap. The are comfortable and a dramatic improvement over regular shorts. The padding isn't as thick or well designed as more expensive shorts though. These days I am more likely to ride all day or on multi-day vacations and these shorts are missing a few things. The better padding of a higher quality pair and the additional pockets of a higher end mountain biking short are missing.
However, these shorts are light and they have a great fit. They are very durable (mine are nearly two years old). If I am rising around town and for an hour or two, I still wear these shorts. They are usually used for riding my stationary bike as well.
Well worth the price if you are just getting in to cycling or just needing a pair for lighter use.
