My issue was that I took them to a new park where trails where not compacted yet so there was a lot of loose dirt and sand and I had gotten the 2.1 thin version of the tire and I was just too slow on certain tricky corners and fell a few times. There was also a lot of thorns the result of which was that I got two flats in a matter of hrs... If you are going to ride in a place where you know there are thorns get the snakeskin version, otherwise the casing is really, really thin.
On the other hand where there was harder, easier ground these tires accelerated notably faster and rolled with less resistance than my 2.35 Kenda Nevegals.
In short, based on my experience these tires have a little too much character. They are not as flexible (multipurpose) as they say in the Schwalbe marketing speech, at least not the 2.1s. I guess they are meant for a better/faster rider than myself.
