(More customer reviews)I have recently purchased a Trek 1.5 road bike to replace an old Raleigh Corsa road racer I have had for years. The bike has been great and I have put in some good rides on it. But one of the few negatives I have found was the seat. It was very uncomfortable on extended rides and was one of the causes for ending a ride early. I started looking for a new seat through Amazon and was very interested in mountain bike seats. I found the Avenir 300 series seat and really liked the looks (same basic design as a road bike seat) and the write-up (lighter rails, more padding and ergonomic design). There were no reviews to help me make a decision, but I took the chance and purchased the seat. It arrived promptly and I was delighted with the item. The fit and finish of the seat was great, practically as light as the original and had the same lines and size. It mounted easily and looked very good on the bike. The next day I took the bike on a 50 mile and and the seat performed flawlessly. It was comfortable from the start, but importantly, was still comfortable at the end of the ride. I had a quick stop half way through the ride and I didn't dread getting back on the bike. I'm working myself up to a century ride later this summer and feel confident I can do it on this seat. I don't write very many reviews, but wanted to provide some information to anyone else looking at this seat. I highly recommend it.
