Greenfield SKS2B 285mm Stabilizer Rear Stay-Mount, Black Aluminum Review

Received the kickstand yesterday, installed within 15 minutes. It is pretty intuitive to install, or you can just look at the product picture to figure it out. The quality of the machined parts is very good. The paint or powder coating is high quality, and the 285mm length was just right for my 56 size frame. I bought this style because my bike has the shift cable coming up through the frame where a normal kickstand would go. Only downside is that it seems a little heavier than 340 grams. Of course that does not matter much since I am not after the lightest bike possible, and the weight is carried very low. No more leaning the bike against a picnic table and wondering if it will stay!

Schwinn Adjustable Kickstand Review

Schwinn Adjustable Kickstand
Average Reviews:

Got this to replace training wheels on 16" and 20" bikes when the big day came. No problems at all, easy install with a 14mm wrench (to connect to the bike) and Phillips-head screwdriver (to adjust length). Two installs, two happy girls who can now balance and ride their bikes like pros.
The spring-loaded mechanism works fine and seems to hold up well (so far--this isn't a long-term review). The size and length are appropriate for children's bikes. The 16" bike has the adjustment at the shortest length, while the 20" is extended 4 holes (about 30% longer than the small bike). The price is right.
Complaints? The stand could probably be more solid than it is, but it's a little of a blessing in disguise as it's easy for the girls to kick up and down, even barefoot. If there's anything I would change, it's that the stand portion is a bit too vertical (maybe 5 or 10 degrees). The bikes, when stood up, are a little "tippier" than I remember from when I was a kid. By no means a deal breaker.
For training wheel replacement on 16" and larger bikes I would recommend this kickstand.

Tranz X Adjustable Alloy Bicycle Kickstand Review

Tranz X Adjustable Alloy Bicycle Kickstand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had this kickstand on my bike for a little less than two months now and it has worn out. I used it almost daily for my bike ride to and from campus. There is a serious flaw in the design, in that there is a plastic piece that serves as the main contact between the stand and the mount on the bike. This area is put under stress by the spring every time the kickstand is folded or unfolded, which concerned me at first but based on the two good reviews here I assumed it wouldn't be a problem. Around two weeks ago I noticed a small crack in the plastic piece and ever since then it has been expanding. Today it finally cracked to a point where the stand is no longer usable. The quality of this kickstand should be much better, especially considering the price.

M-Wave Steel Double Leg Side Bicycle Kickstand Review

M-Wave Steel Double Leg Side Bicycle Kickstand
Average Reviews:

It just doesn't cut the mustard. It has 4 spot welds to hold the legs on. After a week I noticed that one of the legs was leaning forward. Yesterday one of the legs just fell off. This was the one on the right side, which I did not use to lower the stand. I am going to try to weld the leg back on.
Overall the quality of the stand is pretty cheap. I probably will have to replace the spring as well. This is what I get for trying to save a few bucks.

Greenfield Stabilizer rear mount kickstand, black Review

It is nice to find a product that is made in the USA! The product is sturdy, easy to install and uncomplicated.
However, this product did not fit my bike due to the fact that the disc brakes are in the way, making a good fit difficult if not impossible for this particular kickstand/stabilizer.
There were no instructions and, even though there are very few parts, I think that everyone would like to know if they are installing it correctly or not. Even a photo would help.

Sunlite Double Kickstand Review

Sunlite Double Kickstand

Item as described and heavy duty,.....it was installed and operational on my 26" Schwinn Ranger MB after receiving it, in 5 minutes. Install was a breeze, take off the old, install the new. Fits like a glove. Note: You will need a large allen wrench. Item as pictured only, it does come with an additional longer screw.
I use my Schwinn for road use mainly and don't see a problem, dirt goer's may have an issue since it's just about 5"/6" off the ground when up. Tight cornering might cause you get kicked out/dug in since it protrudes end to end, 10", 5" each side. Just food for thought.
This kickstand was purchased as a recommended part of a ebike conversion, not this particular item, just in general, but I have to say I did pick right. When in use, your bike will have one wheel a few inches off the ground, that's the way it supposed to be. If you got a big heavy bike that falls down alot this kickstand will do the trick keeping it up.
The only thing I foresee happening though are the caps for the ends falling off. You have to kind of figure on that eventually. I'll glue mine in like one reviewer stated. I hope my review was of some help to you.

M-Wave Alloy Side Bicycle Kickstand Review

Im an adult, this was purchased for an adult bike. Lasted 1 week! The bike fell over and the kickstand broke in half. (the part that holds it on the bike, not the stand itself. It looks like its made of plastic and not steel. The stand part is made of hollow, thin metal, similar to a hollow tent pole, when I was removing the broken stand bracket, I also noticed the stand itself was bent, after 1 WEEK??? come on. I dont like to post negative reviews, but this was a total joke and the quality of this stand just made me really mad. Dont buy this, its cheap for a reason.

Greenfield SKS2BC Rear Mount Oversize Carded Kickstand (Black, 285mm) Review

Greenfield SKS2BC Rear Mount Oversize Carded Kickstand (Black, 285mm)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was looking for a kickstand for a fairly big and heavy mountain bike, and this product ended up being just perfect. I do a good deal of stop-and-go biking (I often stop for picture-taking and wildlife watching) and I wanted something sturdy (even if not super-light) and not too expensive. This one made it. Installation was easy (even if not trivial, given that they do NOT include instructions!!) and the bike stands very upright, probably at an 80 degrees angle from the ground. When the kickstand is in position, the bike looks and feels VERY stable. The rubber foot is wide and adds considerable stability. When you are biking, the kickstand will point towards the REAR of the bike, so there is no chance you will hit it with your legs or ankles. I think this little product will considerably improve my biking! Highly recommended.
UPDATE: as of August 2009, the stand is still as new, steadily and sturdily on my bike. A very good product indeed!
