It is good for lighter bikes. If you have a very heavy mountain bike that weighs close to 30-35 lbs, it may not be the best option for you.
Road bike, commuter bikes, no problem.

(More customer reviews)I really wanted this product to work. Its very well made - german engineering. The concept is great - nothing to drill in the walls.
I read the other reviews, and understand why some like and some didn't like. I spent several hours over three days, and discovered that it depends on the surfaces you are installing it on (ceiling and floor). If you are putting this on carpet, with a textured ceiling - something for it to grab onto - it works. If you are putting it on a smooth concrete floor (in your garage, for example), or a smooth piece of wood (like in an unfinished ceiling in your garage), the stand doesn't grip tight enough and tends to move slightly. Under the weight of bikes, and with vibration from the garage door opener, it can fall over.

I bought this prodcut for my mountain bike and I cannot even believe someone manufactures a false stuff like this.
It cannot even hold the weight of my bike and bends out to side and eventually my bike falls.
I tried to adjust the distance between the two archs to fit the tire width to see if I get better result but no luck.

Gear Up Grand Stand Single Bike Floor Stand Review

(More customer reviews)Simply put, I don't feel comfortable parking my road bike on this. I purchased this GrandStand to park my road bike properly in the garage rather than lean it against the wall. But after using it a couple of times I noticed the stand holds the bike in vertical position by the spokes. There is just too much lateral pressure on the spokes especially that the bike tends to go slightly to one side or the other and you can see the spokes temporarily bending by the weight of the bike. There is another thing that I've noticed, depending on the bike derailleur and what gear it's in, when parking the bike with the rear tire, the stand might get between the derailleur and the spokes, pushing the derailleur away from the tire. This might potentially harm the derailleur.
Not wanting to feel that I've wasted my purchased, I tried to use it with my cheap mountain bike, but quickly realized the heavy mountain bike would put even more pressure on the spokes than the road bike.

CycleOps Stackable Climbing Block for Indoor Bicycle Trainers Review

(More customer reviews)I went looking for more info on this product as i was curious about the "4 separate height adjustments" on the ribbon brochure and i could only see 3 possible positions. It turns out that 2 of the separate height adjustments are using a 2nd climbing block in combination with the first: back-to-back and front-to-back.
As far as i can tell there are the three positions with the one climbing block. Measuring how high the front tire is raised gives the possible height increases of 1.25 inches, 1.75 inches and 2.125 inches (these are eye-balled so not perfect).
The combination of a CycleOps trainer and my wife's bike raises her back tire 1 inch off the floor so like the previous reviewer, Adam Rhuberg said, the block is more like a leveler than a climber. Unless you buy that 2nd climbing block of course.

Sunlite Bottom Bracket Type Bicycle Display Stand Review

(More customer reviews)It's made cheaply both material and the workmanship. It's made of relatively soft metal like chrome colored brass. Bright side of this is it's easy to cut, so if the wheel of you bicycle goes way up high, you can cut it lower with a hack saw with relative ease, at least easier than cutting steel. It supports the weight of a bicycle pretty well but you can't sit on the bike while it's on the stand, of course. Even when I cranked the pedal to the full speed, it was stable to reasonable level. It could have been a better design with hollow aluminium(or good quality steel tube) and lighter and I would have happily paid the higher price for it. The bottom line is this. It's not the most refined looking stand but it works for its purpose and I recommend it to anyone who needs a simple portable bike stand for on location repair or adjustment.

The box came quickly and I set it downstairs. No more than 10 minutes lapsed and my 7 year old son put the whole thing together. Delta Cycle Michelangelo 2 Bike Wall Rack Review

(More customer reviews)I use this rack in my apartment to keep my bikes away from rain and thieves. I like that this rack requires no wall-drilling and keeps bikes flat against the wall (rather than sticking out like those racks that hang bikes by their front wheels.) I'm very impressed with its stability, considering the rack itself is pretty light. There's only one contact point with the wall, which has a big, rubber end (like the two feet) so it won't scratch or mark. The feet stick to my carpeted floor quite securely, and my guess is that they'd work well on noncarpeted surfaces, too. The hooks that hold up your bike have a generous, rubbery coating, so they won't scratch up your frame. I keep two bikes on the rack, with my regular commuter on the lower one, and the rack is quite stable, even when only the upper bike is on it. For those of you who care, the rack is manufactured in China, so I'm sure Delta's making a fortune, but I had lots of trouble finding a U.S.-made alternative.

On the other hand it holds it in such a way as to make it get in the way as much as it helps. It makes you rest your bottom bracket on the stand which makes tuning derailleur cables difficult amongst other things.
I sold mine on ebay.

Park Tool PCS-10 Home Mechanic Repair Stand Review

(More customer reviews)I read many other reviews about how others were surprised at how sturdy this stand is, but I was still surprised myself once I got it in my hands and put my bike up. It is big, strong, and durable; this really will last you at least most of a lifetime of biking. Fully extended it can put the top of the bike over your head, so no worries about having to bend into uncomfortable positions to get anything done. "Portable" might be a bit of a stretch, as there are lighter and smaller stands out there (like the Park Tool PCS-11 Super Lite Home Mechanic Repair Stand), but this will still fold up and should fit into most cars without taking up too much space.
I went ahead and chose this over the less expensive Park Tool PCS-9 Home Mechanic Work Stand to get the quick-release clamps, which I recommend; after all, you want to spend your time working on the bike, not the stand, and getting back out on the road or trail, right? Every little bit of frustration and effort saved helps.
This stand has surpassed my expectations. I should have bought this long ago, like when I was in school and my bike was my primary transportation!

(More customer reviews)I am very pleased with this bike holder. The shipping was quick, and it's free! This is the perfect space saver for a small area. It was very easy to install; it took maybe 10 minutes. You just turn the pole and it secures itself to the ceiling and the floor, screw on the bike rests and you're done! No screws are necessary though the rack does have holes for them should you choose to attach it that way. We have two bikes on it and there's no problem with the weight. If you bump it the bikes will swivel a bit so there is a little give in it. The one piece of advice that I could give is to make sure that you are hitting a beam in the ceiling before you screw it in tightly. We almost made a hole in the ceiling before we checked. Racor PBS-2R Two-Bike Floor Bike Stand Review

(More customer reviews)I've had this stand for over a year now. Took about five minutes to get it together. Held my 26" mountain bike just fine. I recently bought a new 26" MTB with disc brakes. The good news is that the disc rotors 'just barely' clear the support arms on this stand. You do have to futz with the bike's position on the stand a bit or the bike will 'lean' slightly on the rotor, but it isn't that hard to make it work. The bad news is that the support arm pairs are too close together to allow two mountain bikes of the same frame size to coexist peacefully in the same orientation. With front wheels inserted into the frame the handlebars clash big time. It works better if one bike has the front wheel in the frame and the other the rear wheel. The handlebar of one bike will still contact the seat of the other bike, but a simple turn of the handlebar on the outward-facing bike fixes this. This stand was obviously designed for two road bikes side-by-side, not MTBs. It would probably also be OK with two bikes of different frame sizes. Other than that, though, it's plenty sturdy and works well.
